Each game of Texas Holdem can have up to 4 rounds of betting. The game starts of with each player being dealt two cards. These are face down and are known as "Hole Cards". This is followed by the first round of betting. Here each player can bet, check, fold or raise.
After the first round of betting three communal cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table - this is known as the Flop. Another round of betting occurs and another communal card is deal - the fourth card is known as the Turn. Again another betting round occurs and the final community card is deal. This fifth card is known as the River. Now there is one last round of betting.
After the final round of betting is over comes the Showdown. Here players show their cards to see who wins the pot. Again the highest hand using any of your hole cards and the community cards win the pot.
